Neil Wagner Retires From International Cricket For New Zealand

New Zealand’s Neil Wagner has announced his retirement from international cricket.

Wagner took 260 wickets in his test match career, making him the fifth-highest wicket taker in New Zealand’s history. He made his debut for the Kiwis in 2012, after emigrating from South Africa in 2008.

The 37 year-old took the decision following his exclusion from the starting 11 against Australia in the upcoming test series.

He will continue with first-class cricket both at home and overseas, but the pace bowler will no longer play for the international side, in which he helped New Zealand become the inaugural winners of the Test World Championship in 2021.
